I recently received this pizzelle baker with the shiny coating as described and have found it to be an excellent machine. Using it for the first time today, I had absolutely no difficulties at all. The plates are wonderful and nothing stuck to them. The sound that is heard when the light goes on is extremely helpful. I recommend this pizzelle baker to all who are interested in a classic piece of equipment. It makes a very crisp pizzelle.
